British Army's Maritime Trade Operations Center said in a warning to sailors in the Red Sea region that the ship Tutor sank in the Red Sea.
The ship was damaged and water entered the engine room last Wednesday when it collided with a naval drone, killing one of the sailors in the attack.
The Tutor, a kamsarmax ship owned by a Greek company, became the second total loss as a result of the seven-month campaign by the Houthis to disrupt commercial shipping in the Middle East.
A ship named Rubymar was the first loss from the Houthi campaign, as it sank in the Red Sea after being hit by missiles in mid-February 2024.
Another attack occurred on Thursday of last week on the Verbena ship, a general cargo ship owned by the Ukraine-based Donbasstransitservice company, which saw three projectiles hit the ship, leading to a severe fire on board
