The media center of the Damietta Port Authority issued a media
statement in which it announced that the export movement of containers was
1,787 TEUs, the number of
incoming containers was 99 TEUs,
while the number of transit containers reached 2,551 TEUs.
During the past 24 hours, the port received 10 ships, while 13
ships left, and the total number of ships
in the port reached 41 ships
The export movement of general goods amounted to 34,170 tons,
including: 400 tons of
urea, 4,000 tons of molasses, 2,418 tons of casting
cement, 1,100 tons of beet feed, 9,360 tons of glass sand, 6,442
tons of packaged cement, and 10,450 tons of miscellaneous goods.
The imported movement of general goods also amounted to 47,187
tons, including: 800 tons of edible oil, 6,744 tons of corn, 4,553 tons of
iron, 900 tons of beech wood, 6,200 tons of scrap, 5,799 tons of beans, 1,791
tons of lentils, 5,600 tons of sugar, and 14,800 tons of soybeans
