Bunkering Marine Honor, while the latter vessel was refueling for Evergreen Marine Corporation Boxship Ever Blink on 14 June.

The accident occurred at the Pasir Panjang Container Terminal on the west coast of Singapore, and the oil spread to the east coast and southern islands.

Captain Chong Jiaquan, chairman of the Maritime Ports Authority of Singapore, said today (June 18) that clean-up efforts have been difficult, despite the Maritime Ports Authority sending patrol vessels to spray chemicals to break up the oil spills.

“Due to the current tides, some of the oil has reached the southern coast of Singapore. Some of the challenges we face is that the oil in the sea is very mobile, and it keeps moving due to changing tidal currents.
