Chabahar Port in Iran
Indian media reports revealed that there are Indian investments of one billion dollars to develop the Chabahar port in Iran, as the project will help improve India’s connection to the international transport corridor between the north and south that is being developed with Iran and Russia, as well as improve trade links with Central Asia.
It was revealed by the Iranian Deputy Minister of Roads that India announced plans to invest one billion dollars to develop the Chabahar port. About three months ago, negotiations were held with Indian investors and the signing of the contract regarding the provision of relevant parts and equipment in Chabahar Port is in its final stage.
Last month, Iran and India signed a partnership agreement with India Ports Global Ltd (IPGL) to equip and operate shipping and container terminals at Shahid Beheshti Port in Chabahar.
