Utopia of the Seas is the world's second largest


Royal Caribbean International announced that it will receive its second huge cruise ship in 2024, called Utopia of the Seas. The ship is the first of its class to operate on liquefied natural gas. Utopia of the Seas follows the ship Icon of the Seas, which entered service in January 2024 as the first cruise ship to operate on natural gas. Liquefied and the largest cruise ship in the world.


The total tonnage of Utopia of the Seas is approximately 236,860 tons, with a passenger capacity of 5,668 people in the lower berths and 2,834 cabins.

Utopia of the Seas took more than two years to build at Chantiers de l'Atlantique in France. It completed its sea trials at the beginning of May, and is now scheduled to depart for the United States. It has a crew of 1,600 on board
